Macedonia's prime minister, Zoran Zaev, has come to the fore with his official stance about voting the Law for the use of languages and developments last night in Macedonia's Parliament.
He says that by this civilising law nobody loses, and that no Constitution, or even Amandament 5.
The Law for Use of Languages in Macedonia's Parliament was voted into. This law is a serious contribution to building a society's framework for all citizens of Macedonia.
That step had support in past local and parliamentary elections.
This value, Macedonia the country of all citizens is a concept and guide for our future. We were designed for policies that build Macedonia as a citizen state for all who live there -- Macedonians, Albanians, Turks, Serbs, Vlachs, Roma, Bosniaks, as well as all other communities.
The law on use of languages is in accordance with the Constitution and Amandament 5 that was brought in 17 years ago.
No one can be above the Constitution. With the progress of the rights to use of languages, no one is missing, but conditions for better communication are possible between citizens and institutions. Unhindered communication of citizens is civilising benefit.
At the same time, this law overall guarantees the use of the Macedonian language. It's time to throw away policies of division, conflict and unrest.
Our duty and responsibility should be the interests of all citizens without exception”, Prime Minister Zoran Zaev said, one day after the Law vote on the use of languages. /Telegraphy/
