Macedonia's prime minister, Zoran Zaev, expects the issue of the law on use of languages to be closed this week.
At the joint press conference in Government with BiH Council of Ministers Chairman Denis Zvizdzic, Zaev said the debate on the issue is already open nine months and needs to be closed as soon as possible.
Everyone said everything they had while there was enough time for dialogue. The law should eventually be passed in a carbon constitution and laws. This will close the last legalistic aspect from the Ohrid Agreement. Let's let it come true, let's have its implementation and we'll see that it's not something that's painful, difficult or tragic, but it's something that will make it easier to understand with each other”, Zaev said.
To order the leader of VMRO- Hristian Mickovski's DPMNE that his party will give support to LSDM reforming plans if the law on languages is withdrawn from the municipal procedure, Zaev estimated it is the “cope peist” from former party leader Nikola Gruevski's statements.
