Brighton Side's team are fascinated by this question, which is why we've decided to share the results of a recent experiment that really brought negative effects from not getting enough sleep.
Sarah Chalmers is a 46-year-old woman from Great Britain who recently participated in a sleep-deprived experiment. The purpose of the research was to recognize the consequences of the insufficient amount of sleep required. Early in the experiment, scientists analyzed Sarah's skin condition with the help of a facial scanner. At the end of the experiment, its ports had doubled in size, and its skin seemed red.
“Show much older than 46 years old. I had dark circles under my eyes, my skin was lightless, I had enlarged pores that I could even see from a distant distance. To sum up, a few points appeared in my beard. I had very tired looks and it was very irritating. I hated to see my reflection”, Sarah explained.
During the first part of the experiment, Sarah did not sleep more than four hours (from 2am to six). During this period, she claimed that she did not feel tired but also did not feel that she had rested well.
In the second part of the experiment, Sarah slept for five and a half hours to six hours for a week. In the middle of the week, she noticed some changes she began to tire out and to eat more often sweet things for energy.

The doctors explained these developments this way: “sleep loss leads to the production of cortisol stress hormone. That makes a person angry. Insufficient sleep levels also activate fatty glands, which lead to skin problems. Sleep deprivation during the night also prohibits the production of growth hormones, which puts the body system at the optimum level. ”
The final phase of the experiment involves restoring a normal bedtime. Sarah slept no less than eight hours of sleep at night and the results were very positive. Within a week, skin problems disappeared, and she felt much less angry. /A woman.net/
