Vetevendosje Movement MP Glauk Konjufca has submitted the draft Demarketing Law with Montenegro to the Constitutional Court today, until he has said he expects the latter to make an impartial decision, finding unconstitutional violations in the case.
Konjufca has reiterated that, according to them, it has not been the state commission's mandate to make a new definition of the border line, but has only had to become a sign.
Vetevendosje MP said that even though Kosovo has problems with the judiciary, they expect the Constitutional Court to find the violations made in this case.
“We know what institutions we have at the government level, we have problems in the judiciary. The judiciary is caught, the Constitutional Court made no exception from the general situation of how we have our institutions in the Republic of Kosovo. We know that. But we want to constantly improve our institutions so that they can become better. This is our duty and job as deputies. We hope that just as the Constitutional Court has made the decision on {Zieednicaʹ, so it has found violations on 23 points, we hope that even for demarcation to find these violations”, Conjufca said.
He said MPs have violated the Constitution with the vote on this agreement.
According to him, Article 2 of the Kosovo Constitution is thus being violated, or paragraph 2, which says the territorial integrity of the Republic of Kosovo is inconsistent.
The Vetevendosje Movement is convinced that there have been serious violations of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo. The most serious violation I want to pose is the sovereignty and integrity of the Republic of Kosovo. We think that by this decision, MPs have violated the Constitution because they have adopted something that is unconstitutional and that is demitation instead of demarcating of limit”, he stressed.
The demarcation with Montenegro after a three-year crawl in the Kosovo Assembly was approved on March 21st.
While the Self-Determination Movement deputies have rejected this bill, cases at the session where demarcation has been approved have even dropped tear gas.
