Vetevendosje Movement MP Albulen Haxhiu, in a pronomation for Telegrafi, has said the VV has not changed access to the current version of the border demarcation agreement with Montenegro.
“Vetevendosje Vote for current version of demarcation, does not and will never. Our position regarding demarcation has not changed, since no agreement has changed either. In fact, the only person who has already changed is Prime Minister Haradinaj”, Haxhiu has said.
Haxhiu says those who once rejected this agreement are now defending him to preserve the chair, thus citing the time when Prime Minister Haradinaj was in opposition and opposed the current agreement.
“We should consider Haradinaj's decision against this agreement, when it was in opposition, and certainly his approach to us is not acceptable. We have sent a public letter through President Albin Kurti, and we have also appealed to him in our public statements and given our commitment, stating that we will contribute if he is willing to withdraw from the current version, but there is no withdrawal. Apparently, Haradinaj wants his chair more than the country's”, Haxhiu said.
Asked about tomorrow's session, where the agreement is expected to be voted, Haxhiu has said he does not believe the Government has votes for ratification.
The government does not have the numbers to cross the demarcation agreement with Montenegro. Even if the agreement was good when it is discussed territory, it should be thought several times because it is an elementary issue for Kosovo. MPs should think of”, she said.
As for the fall of the Haradinaj government, Haxhiu has stressed that, the current government must be overthrown, not because of the vote, but because of its vote, as he has said it is entirely at the expense of Kosovo.
Haxhiu has also spoken of the Haradinaj Government's recent decisions, which he has said are illegal...
“Vetevendosje has not seen any different approach to other issues, economic, social issues, so we haven't seen a different government in the best of citizens. In fact, what we've seen is a maximum commitment to enriching ourselves for privileges and illegal decisions on wages, the number of advisers... so we have many reasons to bring down this government. We must engage in this direction, precisely because of the mismanagement and damage being done to the country with the Haradinaj” government, Haxhi said in the end.
Meanwhile, we remember that the country's prime minister, Ramush Haradinaj, days ago has called on the Parliament's deputies are in session tomorrow and vote in favour of the demarcation agreement, as according to him, there is no reason not to vote on the demarcation.
The border demarcation agreement with Montenegro was signed in August 2015 in Vienna. As such, this agreement was ratified by Montenegro's Assembly, but not by Kosovo's.
The European Commission has made it clear that without ratification of the demarcation, Kosovo will not be included in the free movement area within the EU, without visas. Officials from the ongoing European Union are demanding that institutions not delay in meeting the criteria, if they aim at visa liberalisation in a faster term.
