In his warning that Milosevic was buried as a dog, Mrrkonjiq recalls that because Boris Tadic and Vojislav Kostunica, who led Serbia, did not initially allow defeat in the backyard of the family house in Pozharevc.
We can't interfere with this anymore. When Slobodan died, the political moment was such that the government treated him as a dog. Tadic and Kostunica did not even try to resolve his funeral issue. Authorities have barely allowed us to take him to Belgrade and put his body near Tito to the House of Flowers. The family had to make such a decision to bury it where there was space, which was the backyard of the family home in Pozharevc,” explains Mrkonjiq.
Uros Suwakovic, former SPS official and a state security official during Milosevic's rule, thinks the DS is guilty of not accepting all state honours at his funeral, reports “Vestinet”, Periscope broadcast.
I don't think Milosevic was buried as a dog, but was buried as a private citizen, even though he belonged to the state protocol, which was illegally abolished by the DS. The then DS leaders even banned the use of the VMA morgue. Kostunica made it possible for his body to be displayed at the Museum of Yugoslavia and that citizens bid their last farewell. That's his credit because he, as prime minister, has made that decision,” explains ãokovic.
In an interview for “Kuririn”, Zorana Mihajlovic said that instead of Milosevic's monument “it might be more appropriate for us to see how to bury this man with a better burial. ”/Periscopi/
