Another Serbian Orthodox Church provocation warned against Kosovo

According to the Belgrade media report, the Serbian Orthodox Church has prepared another provocation to the new Republic of Kosovo, misusing freedom of exercise of religion with formulas that violate the sovereignty of independent states.

The Serbian Church's official name in the future will be “The Serbian Orthodox Church unjustly Peja Patrickana”. This will be one of the initial innovations with the proposal of the new Constitution of the Serbian Orthodox Church”, writes “Novosti”.

The patriarch of this church, according to this source, will also have a new title: <x0 Peja archbishop, Belgrade and Kradovac's mitropole and Serbian patriarch of coastal sites”.

The changes to the official name of the Serbian Church are explained in the desire to strengthen ties with its historic headquarters in Peja Patriot, but also with Kosovo and Metohija as a most important part of its jurisdiction, as Belgrade's “Novosti” puts on Koha.net.

The constitution suggests that the new head of the Serbian Church be elected in the Patriarchate of Peja, while as opportunities for church headquarters are presented to Belgrade or Mitrovica of Sremit”, the paper writes.
