How rats were discovered at the Kosovar meat factory (Video)

Investigators of the Economic Crimes and Corruption Investigation Unit, after taking over duties from Prizren's chief prosecutor Admir Shala, to raid two suspicious locations, initially share the duties between them and the inspectors of the Food and Veterina Agency.

As aired by “Justice in Kosovo”, AVUK investigators and inspectors are divided into two teams and begin action with them to raid warehouses and meat processing factories in Suhareka and Rahovec.

With the order of the chief founder's prosecutor in Prizren, today we're going into control at two locations. The purpose of the raid will be to collect evidence and materials allegedly imported illegal meat from Belgium. We will be divided into two groups and gather all the data that will serve us with the development of the investigation. I will be backed by two police stations, the Rahovec's and the Suhareka station”, the police investigator declares before leaving for the field.

From the beginning of the raid, as seen in images aired by Kosovo's “Directorate”, there are serious problems and irregularities in the meat factory, from over time to time, materials for the processing of unclean places, rats and heavier dead mice in the storage and processing of meat.
