Protesters called for quick action in response to the assassination, which shocked the country and its government.
Kucijak and his girlfriend were found killed on Sunday evening at his home in Velka Maca, and it is believed that he was killed after investigating charges of illegal payment from the European Union funds, with the help of tax fraud, which activities have included Slovak and Italian citizens, linked to the criminal group, Ruangeta.
Two Slovak officials, close to Slovakia's prime minister and who in the Kucijak articles have claimed to be linked to organised crime, have resigned from their positions.
The post resigned top state adviser to the prime minister's office, Maria Troskova, as well as Slovakia's Security Council Secretary William Jasan.
The resignation has also been given by Culture Minister Marek Mandaric, a longtime associate of Prime Minister Robert Fico.
Fico has offered a reward of 1m euros to those who help capture the Kukijak killers.
