Unlike representatives of the Serbian List, Slobodan Petrovic, SLS deputy (liberal party), once again has indicated that he will vote on the demarcation agreement with Montenegro.
Petrovic for “Zerin” has said that the adoption of the border agreement with Montenegro is to the benefit of all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo.
Our position has not changed on this issue, so we'll be at the meeting when it's held, it's not up to me. But when the demarcation meeting is held I'll be present and vote for "”," Petrovic underlined.
This, as he has assessed, ratification of the Vienna Agreement allows citizens visa liberalisation.
“It is publicly known my position regarding demarcation. We don't have the right to keep our citizens isolated, and I'm sure that citizens want this issue resolved so that visa liberalisation can be allowed, respectively, to enable free movement because Kosovo is the only country in Europe, where people don't have the chance to travel where they want to be <x2Zerin<3>.
Regarding support of the agreement in question, Petrovic has said they have not put any conditions towards coalition partners.
We have in no way conditioned anyone for our vote, because we are committed to vote because it is in the interest of all the people who live in these spaces and I believe that most MPs will first and foremost rule responsibility for our people and that at the next meeting there will be enough votes so that this case can be closed”, he added.
Meanwhile, in terms of the Serbian List's stance regarding this agreement, Petrovic has said there is no information except those that have been distributed in the media.
“I have no knowledge of their activity, but through the media I have learned there was a certain meeting between the Serbian List and the prime minister, in the institutions' carriers, respectively. I mean, I don't know about something I can tell you except what I read in press”, he stressed.
