Four witnesses have testified in the trial for the murder of Mentor Zekaj, the murder his friend Kreshnik Haliti is being charged with.
Mirjeta Zekaj testified today about the murder of the husband, which took place last year in Pec's “Fidanishic” quarter.
The Witness said that the accused and her late husband have been good friends for 10 years.
To prove this, the court told her that there are pictures in which the accused is seen present at the festivals arranged by her husband.
During the testimony, Mirjeta Zekaj said the accused had asked her husband for about 85 thousand euros in debt, arguing that his family was threatened if he did not pay him much.
This (the defendant) has asked Mentore 85 thousand or 86 thousand euros, I'm sure, he owes it to him on the grounds that he is threatening his family with that money. The man gave it to her at home, I was there”, she said.
Mirjeta Zekaj said that after giving this to Kreshnik Halit, the two had signed the debt write-down agreement on a sheet.
At that time the witness said they had to pay a portion of the amount for the purchase of the new house, while the accused had to return the debt at that time.
She also told of the critical day when she was home, her husband had called Kreshnik Haliti to meet for the return of her debt.
In time, she indicated that she had been notified by telephone that an incident had taken place with her husband at the bar in his possession.
But accused Kreshnik Haliti when his turn came to raise questions to the witness about whether she could swear on her children and the Koran for the statement.
And the witness, Hello Zakariya, said: "This is a free will from all falsehood: for he has spoken the truth."
Before the court today, the testimony was also given by Haxhi Morina, who confessed to the moments he had seen two men fighting.

The witness described one person who had fallen to the ground with his hair, and the other who was striking him described him as bald.
He said that he is not sure to have seen her stabbed the person who had fallen to the ground, but he indicated that after seeing much blood, he had fainted.
During today's hearing, Ardi Muqaj has also witnessed, who said he has been working at the bar that was owned by Mentor Zekaj.
The witness Muqaj also told of the society the accused and victims had before the critical day.
He said he was the first person to go near the victim's body who was lying several meters away from the bar in the sector “Fidanish field”.
Muqaj said he had immediately notified the Kosovo Police and had notified the deceased's wife.
Even witness Fadil Vucetaj in his testimony showed that near his market, until he went to another bar to make some small money, he said he heard someone calling him by name.
The witness then said he noticed it was about a person who looked like Mentor Zekay, but he said he didn't come near them because he had heard a few moments earlier.
After entering his market, he said he had told a customer to inform someone at Mentor Zekij's bar because he seems to be injured.
