Mitchell sparks Serbia with this declaration on Kosovo

US Assistant Secretary for Europe and Eurasia Wes Mitchell has called on Kosovo and Serbia to meet the obligations made by the Brussels agreements.

He during a media conference with Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, said Kosovo has the right to form its own army and that this will not be a threat to Serbia.

Kosovo has the right to form professional forces, which will certainly be taken into which Kosovo Serbs would be involved and no one has the right to prevent Kosovo from developing such a” facility, Mitchell said.

He said the US supports this right to Kosovo, but stressed that changing the Constitution is necessary for that.
