Minister of Education responds: Strike is not reasonable

Education Minister Shyqi has said he has long prosecuted the Bill on Education Workers' Status in 1990-1999 in Government

Through a Facebook post, Bytyqi said that as August has carried out their pledge, they have also been in communication with the SBASK and they have the full information that we are interested in that soon this important bill gets the right way.

While the SBASK is aware that the will of MAST and Government is for this bill to go as early as possible in Parliament and live, we don't see the strike reasonable or the solution to this situation. Therefore, the best way is for all educators and parents to commit to missing our students no classes, from which the loss of students and the entire education system, where we are making great efforts to increase the quality”, wrote Bytyqi on Facebook.

Unlike today in all of Kosovo, one day strike is under way. The SBASK warns that if the government does not reflect on their demands, they will start a general strike.
