Meta gives Minister Bushati authorisation for Albania-Greece sea border negotiations

Albania's president, Ilir Meta, has authorised Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Ditmir Bushati to issue full power for the Republic of Albania's Negotiator Group for negotiating “draft agreement between the Republic of Albania and the Republic of Greece for limiting their maritime zones”.
Through a media report, President Meta asks MEPJ, Albanian state institutions involved in these negotiations and the Negotiator Group to meet their responsibilities in respect of the Constitution of the Republic of Albania, based on the Constitutional Court's decision No.15, the 1504.2010.

“President of the Republic, United States Ilir Meta in support of Article 92 letters “ ”, Article 116, Article 121 points 1, Article 132 of the Constitution; Decisions No.15, 1504,2010 of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Albania; Article 6 points 3, letters “a” of law no. 43/2016 “for international agreements in the Republic of Albania”, following the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs's application today authorised Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ditmir Bushati, to issue Full Force for the Republic of Albania Negotiator Group for negotiating “the draft agreement between the Republic of Albania and the Republic of Greece for limiting their maritime zones.
President of the Republic, United States Ilir Meta urges the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Albanian state institutions, included in these negotiations and the Negotiator Group, to meet their responsibilities in respect of the Constitution of the Republic of Albania, of the No.15 verdict, the 1504.2010th Constitutional Court, international acts where the Republic of Albania is a party, internal legal framework, in the interest of preserving and exercising territorial sovereignty and national jurisdiction, and ensuring security, economic and social benefits of the country”
