There were also major problems in the railway service, while many roads in European cities have been paralyzed. About 2,000 vehicle executives were blocked for hours on a highway near the French town of Montpellier.
Much of the old continent will continue to tremble at the Siberian system that has brought down the lowest temperatures of recent years. Tens of people, many of them homeless, have lost their lives as a result of bad weather, 21 in Poland alone.
Victims have also been recorded in France, Spain, Italy, Britain, and the Netherlands. In the French capital, Paris, authorities set up emergency centres for about 3 thousand homeless people counting the city, follows the TCh.
Nice beaches were covered with a thick layer of snow. However, the weather also offered opportunities for entertainment, more citizens in Britain and France, who skated or skied through the streets.
