Lettés Do It Kosova has organised cleaning action today in the village of Lubowe of Istog, where more than 15 garbage trucks have been evacuated.

This action, Letz Do It Kosova, has been taken in co-operation with the Istog Community. Let's Do It Kosova Director Luan Hasanaj has said they will not stop until they clean up the entire area.

While, he has thanked the residents of this village for responding to their call to come out and clean up.

Unfortunately, even in this space, waste storage is being created as we have it all over Kosovo. So we've initiated this action to eliminate these warehouses in this location in collaboration with the municipality of Istog, collaboration with the company “Environmental” that operates here and has offered its machine to organize this action... So far there have been 10 trucks, there are almost four or five trucks, and we will not stop until we get them all out of here”, he said.

Meanwhile, the deputy chairman of the Istog municipality, Lulzim Blakaj, has highly regarded the work of Lette Do It Kosova, who has done in cleaning up warehouses in this village.

He has said that even as a municipality, they will not stop until they create a clean environment for their citizens.

We've had a project last year to clean up these illegal warehouses that have been recorded around 80 illegal storage points. Last year 30 has been cleared, among them it has been, but unfortunately, this is being filled up again by citizens. Even this year, we have 25 thousand euros on the project, and we will continue again with the cleaning of these illegal warehouses”, he said.

Elvis Ademiaj, resident of this village that has voluntarily left to clean up, says greater awareness of the importance of environmental protection is needed.

Cleaning is a process that is necessary for each country, and we as citizens must first be conscious of not doing pollution. But the measure that pollution is being done then at least help clean up... because it's a transit route then there's not all the pollution coming from the residents of Lubowe village, but also persons who go around take advantage of the occasion because there are not many residents in this area and there are no surveillance and they use it to throw away”, he said.

Environmental organisation “Lett '%s' does it Kosova” throughout the year has organised clean-up shares throughout Kosovo, where they have managed to remove thousands of waste deposits
