MPB spokesman Tony Angelovski says the ministry has undertaken activities for the safety of all citizens, not just MPs.
“The MPB is following recent events and there are security estimates all the time. Based on these assessments, MPB takes adequate measures and activities aimed at ensuring security for the country's citizens”, said Tony Angelovski, MP for MP.
Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi, in a TV show Telma, called on the MPB to protect the MPs, as he said their security is in danger. He adds that MPs should not be harassed.
I respect revolt, respect disagreements, but attacks on the institution MPs are not allowed to happen anywhere, so institutions must take on responsibilities. No one can go out on the street because of personal beliefs that someone is doing something bad and in such a way debate with MP”, Talat Xhaferi, chairman of the RM Assembly, Tv21 reported in Macedonia.
Following the law's vote, independent MP Ferid Muju from the Parliament's mayor stated that “deputs should not move too much to the public in order not to irritate citizens”.
In view of what happened on April 27, with my MP colleagues we decided to stay at home. I'm not gonna ask for protection, very dramatic is to think and talk about it. The worst thing is there may be serious elements to think about. I didn't have any protection last night, but we agreed not to move too much to the public, so that we don't irritate the people of”, said Ferid Music, Independent MP.
On the night the Law was passed, an automobile of LSDM deputy from Vinica, Slavica shumanska-Miteva was burned. Also on the walls of the Albanian Institute for Cultural and Spiritual Heritage in Skopje were X-rays with threatening and offensive content.
