The French policeman who gave himself up for a hostage to the gunman who took hostages in a supermarket yesterday in France has died of his wounds.
Arnaud Beltrame, 45, “ra as hero” and shows “ex2>exx3>, France President Emmanuel Macron said.
Beltrame helped end the armed men who had killed three hostages in a small municipality in southern France.
25-year-old Redowane Lakdim was shot dead after a couple of hours.
Announcing the death of the police officer on Twitter, France's Interior Minister Gerard Cojomb said that “ai died for his country”, Klan Kosova reports.

Earlier, Macro himself announced that Beltrame is suffering from his wounds and struggling with hospital life.
