Intestine cancer patients can increase their chances of survival by consuming nuts, a new study says.
Consumption of nuts every week increases the likelihood of avoiding disease by 57 percent, compared with those who do not consume them, KosovoPress broadcasts.
Experts near the Yale Cancer Centre say that as well as the consumption of almonds, nuts play a positive role in this regard.
Temidayo Fadelu suggests that consumption of nuts helps overcome cancer by making patients less resistant to insulin, which leads to less blood sugar.
More than 40,000 people are diagnosed with intestine cancer each year in Great Britain.
