Gjilan's LDK marks 28th anniversary of the establishment

The Democratic League of Kosovo in Gjilan has marked the 28th anniversary of the establishment, in which only the head of the branch and the deputy chairman at the central level, Lutfi Haziri, has also attended representatives of the party at the local and central level.

Prior to those attending, LDK head in Gjilan, Lutfi Haziri, has recalled with the highest strength President Ibrahim Rugova, the Branch founders and all those who have contributed to this day.

This great anniversary of our branch birth marks the fight and political resistance in the most difficult times for Kosovo, in the struggle for freedom, independence and democracy. This political movement at the time broke the taboos of the former Yugoslavia as a state and the former communist bloc in Eastern Europe. The LDK is the first political party, which was courageously founded by the group of Kosovo intellectuals and the cultural elite, by people of books and knowledge. The nearly three- decade period of the LDK relates closely to the event and leadership of our founder and founder of Kosovo, Dr. Ibrahim Rugova”, Haziri said.

Haziri has stressed that Ibrahim Rugova's League has realised the centuries-old dream of Albanians with the making of Kosovo's state.

“The LDK is a party, which has realised the centuries-old dream of Albanians. Our way to make the country is done. But as long as this independent, free and democratic state, again we as LDK are left to continue on the road and to promote our freedom, preserve the threat of our democracy and extend sovereignty to the entire territory of Kosovo. We must continue to seek the rights of Albanians in Presevo, Bujanoc and Medvedja. The LDK must continue to be the leader and bearer of all responsibility and host of processes. Without this party it has not been decided and can't be set for any process”, Haziri has declared.

On behalf of the central leadership have spoken, Skender Hyseni and Muharrem Sfarqa, of Arben Gashi, who said the LDK, at the helm with Ibrahim Rugova, has designed Kosovo's major independence project, saying the LDK is synonymous with the state of Kosovo and, as such, would not be possible without this party.

They said Gjilan's LDK is the hope for all of Kosovo because the “syblicities it represents are symbolic of courage, determination and commitment”.

Newcomers, mostly newly graduated students, have joined the LDK.

Finally, the chorus of high school music has shown several coral points, specially prepared for the 28th anniversary of LDK in Gjilan, in attendance.
