In the presence of Prime Minister Edi Rama as well, German ambassador said Albania tanoi is a candidate country for the EU, not political persecution.
“Albania is an EU candidate country and is not a country of political persecution, which was one of the reasons for providing asylum and will return to Albania even if needed by force and will be prevented from entering Germany until 5 years.”, the ambassador said.
But on the other hand, she stressed that Albanians have other opportunities to go to Germany and work legally, that of applying for a working visa.
Despite these market policies, it is open to those qualified workers, if they meet the conditions they have the opportunity to apply for working visas, and 3 thousand Albanians have benefited in 2017.
Co-operation with the employment office offers opportunities for qualified people in Albania. As many Albanians leave the country, not only in Germany but in other Western countries, I often hear from the young people they would prefer to stay in Albania if they had a better chance of finding jobs and ensuring a better life and good health care.
This is a big challenge for the Albanian government, and I appreciate that the Albanian government is committed to ensuring a better life for Albanians here.”, she says.
