Erdogan: Terrorists to Pay for Our Soldiers' Loss

Turkey has pledged that it will avenge the militants of the People's Protection Unit (YPG) for the killing of eight Turkish soldiers, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said after repeating the message of continuing the operation coded “The Willir” Degue. “We are putting our fight to a firm finish and we will continue to do so. [...]

“We are taking our fight with determination and we will continue to do so. We will force terrorists to pay with their lives,” told reporters after a visit to Dakar, reports “Hurriyet”, Periscopi broadcast.

Eight Turkish soldiers were killed in an ambush by YPG militants, and Erdogan was informed by Turkish Army Chief of General Staff Hulus Akar. Two Syrian Free Army members have also been killed and some have been injured.

Defence Minister Nurettin Canikli said the number of fallen soldiers had increased to 41, while 116 members of the Syrian Freedom Army have been killed since the beginning of the operation “Dega of Willir” in Africa. /Periscopi/
