Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj has assured that all deputies of the ruling coalition will vote for demarcation at Tuesday's session. He says the vote in favour will also be given by deputies of the Serbian List and the opposition, but has not shown who those names are. Hoxhaj tells Gazeta Express that they have held meetings with all parties for the border demarcation agreement with Montenegro this time to finally pass.

During the past week Hoxhaj declared in the Kosovo Assembly that the agreement on ratification of demarcation is technical, but that the same has become major political cause. He has commented to Express that “will beg Serbian List deputies to vote for demarcation”.

That's what we've been talking about for the last three weeks with Serbian List as much as other Albanian parties in the opposition to secure the necessary votes and to finalise the demarcation agreement”, Hoxhaj said.

Reports across the media that within the ruling coalition there are deputies who will vote against demarcation, Hoxhaj has commented, saying there is no doubt that these MPs will vote against the agreement.

The deputies of all ruling coalition partners will vote for the deal, and there is no doubt here, but there will be deputies of Serbian opinion and list to give the vote”, Hoxhaj says.

On the other hand, he said that by Tuesday they would be dealing intensively with this topic.

Now and again, the casting of demarcation into the vote has failed because the current ruling coalition did not have the necessary votes. One of the reasons for the collapse of Government Mustafa was the lack of votes for passing the demarcation agreement. The deal, calculated as one of the main conditions that would enable citizens visa liberalisation.

Meanwhile, world leaders, as well as European Parliament leaders, have appealed to the political class to quickly ratify demarcation.

Although Kosovo has been declared an independent state for a decade continues to remain as the most isolated in the world. Hundreds of citizens each day wait before embassies to apply for visas without which they cannot travel through EU countries.

The deal was signed in 2015, but it has not been confirmed since the AAK and VV had rejected the idea that from this reconciliation Kosovo was losing land. With Haradianj's arrival at the head of the government, a new agreement has also been reached between the president of Kosovo and Montenegro. They have vowed that corrections would be made if there were evidence of the loss of the land by some of them. Vetevendosje has also rejected this agreement and has refused to vote. Similar opposing stances have provided MPs from the Serb minority, the Srpska List.

The topic of demarcation has led politics in Kosovo for the past three years. Analysts and opposition consider this topic to have wasted much time on the citizens of our country.

The demarcation hearing will be held on Tuesday, according to government officials, the likelihood is that after three years the border agreement between Kosovo and Montenegro will finally pass
