Drocun: Better to isolate ourselves than to recognise Kosovo independence

Milovan Drescu, head of the assembly committee for Kosovo, said the West does not want to open the issue of resolving Kosovo's final status, as the process has ended for them. He also stressed that those from Belgrade expect this to be confirmed, reports “b92”, Periscopi broadcast.
“Of course, the West wants to convince Belgrade to make a concession, not only does it not oppose Kosovo's entry into U NESTO and Interpol, but send it to the UN, which is unacceptable to Belgrade,” Drescu told RTS.
Serbia must continue to defend its interests against the complex situation.
According to him, the West does not want a long-term solution for Kosovo and therefore does not enter talks with Serbia on this topic, which encourages Pristina to disagree on the creation of the Serb Communist Community (ZSO).
“The ZSO is used as a blackmail tool, giving something to get what has been negotiated,” said, adding that Kosovo's problem concerns Serbia's development, that it does not want to freeze the problem because it would lead Kosovo to a large Albania.
Drescu said it was necessary to see the situation taking place in Brussels, all of which “connect” to the behaviour of the West and Pristina.
He said Belgrade in solving the Kosovo problem should rely on countries that understand Serbia's position, such as Russia, China, Spain ...
Asked what could happen if Serbia did not accept Western ultimatum, Drescu did not rule out the possibility of isolation.
Serbia continues with the policy of not recognising Kosovo's declared independence, and we will not agree with its UN membership.”/Periscopi/
