US Ambassador Greg Delawie has commented on the murder of Oliver Ivanovic, which took place in northern Mitrovica during January. In an interview for Kosev, Delawi said this murder had no interethnic character
Delaway has stressed that it is good that Albanians and Serbs are not blaming themselves for this murder.
This is a good thing. I think it's becoming clear that Mr. Ivanovic was not necessarily an interethnic incident. We don't know who did it, we have no evidence about the murder. But, I think the fact that people are not blaming other communities is something positive. And here I want to interpret it as part of the gradual improvement of interethnic reports between Kosovo Serbs and Kosovo Albanians”, Delawi said.
