“in the last three years, the issue of demarcation with Montenegro has almost paralysed institutional life in Kosovo, and each further postponement will hurt citizens and the process of our country's European integration”, the civil society's appeal to the MPs of local legislation said.

Civil society organisations estimate that the dispute over demarcation has now been consumed and that it must now be done specifically to unblock the situation, especially since the Republic of Kosovo now has legal mechanisms available to renegotiate with Montenegro for the eventual improvements of the border line agreement, if it is shown that mistakes have been made in its definition.

Part of this call are civil society organisations Democracy Plus (D+), the Kosovo Democratic Institute (KDI), the Kosovo Institute for Justice (IKD), the Democracy Institute for Development (D4D), the KIPRED Institute for Development Policy (INDEP), the Initiative for Progress (INPO), Movement Fol, Movement Hir and the Kosovar Centre for Security Studies (QKSS).
