CEC for rented cars spends thousands of euros

Although about 10,000 official cars have the country's institutions, about 22 Kosovo institutions, central and local, are involved in the process of renting vehicles, including recently the Central Election Commission (KQZ) with ten “Regano-megana”.

CEC officials, except they've admitted to being car tenants, haven't told about the sum, exploitation, operator and quantity of vehicles.

The issues related to the agreement, the implementation time, the operator, the amount of tools, etc., are in the hands of AQP”, Central Election Commission Chief Executive Chief Enis Halimi for Kosovas with an electronic letter.

Public Administration Ministry officials, however, have said that the CEC has recently rented cars for handling jobs with this action.

The beneficiary of this tender, about 7m euros, has indicated that the contract, which was signed with the Government of Kosovo, specifically with the Central Authority of Kosovo, was signed in October last year, as it began to implement at the end of January 2018.

Autospace Director “Auto mita” Zgjim Mita has told Kosovo Prees that the contract included a total of 358 votes.

Among other institutions which are involved in the process of renting vehicles are the Pristina municipality, the Lipjan municipality, Kosovo Customs, the Kosovo Tax Administration, the Ministry of Justice and others.
