So said Vito Troyo, vice president of the Italian Association of Gynecology and Obstetrics (SIGO), commenting on the World Health Organization's 56 new recommendations, which require more respect for Eastern physical time.
Troyano considers it necessary to make a distinction between physical and pathological pregnancies.
When there are no particular problems, it should be possible for birth to be done in the most natural way possible, and this can be achieved by organizing in the birth-point environments, the structure that is dedicated to the physical birth, followed by obstetrics, and, if possible, near the woman standing a family nucleus that creates the comfort of the house”, he said.
As for pathological pregnancies, he recalls the specifics of the most important pathologists, which have to be faced at birth points arranged with the presence of obstetrics, gynecologist, neonatologist, anesthesiologist dedicated to painless birth and psychologist.
