And among the countries that can prove problematic in terms of border demarcation is Serbia.

This is likely to happen not too far, as Serbia in chapter 35 to enter the EU also has the demarcation of borders with several states, between them and Kosovo.

Geography Florim Isufi in a promotion for Indexline has said the situation with Serbia will be more difficult, so Kosovo politics should consult with all political and professional acts.

The demarcation of Kosovo's border with Serbia will be problematic when it is known that we are dealing with a state which with its policies aims at weakening Kosovo politically and territorially. You are aware of what happened to the border with Montenegro. A wrong approach at first and results in loss of visa territory, paramendo in case of demarcation with Serbia if there is any other condition from the international community what will happen. Therefore, Kosovo politics should either be aware of when making agreements, there should be consultations with all the political and professional acts, or should constantly be handed over to various conditions. All of this depends on the development strategy of the state in the years that followed, the Isufi said.

Meanwhile, analyst Albulen Halili for Indexline has said that marking the border with Montenegro should serve as a lesson when facing Serbia.

Halili says this process will be one of the biggest challenges not only for Kosovo but also for the European Union.
The lessons from this process should serve for Kosovo Albanian politicians to be extremely vigilant during the border demarcation process with Serbia, which will come imminent. Second, this process will be one of the major challenges not only for Kosovo but also for the European Union itself and the international actors involved, since Serbia through this process will try to turn Kosovo's citizenship to zero points in the Declaration of Independence. The Declaration of Independence says Kosovo will have its international borders as envisioned at Annex V III of the Ahtisaari Plan. Ahtisaari's proposal set December 1988 as the crucial date for the assessment of Kosovo's border as part of the former Yugoslavia, since Kosovo's status, defined with RSFJ 1974 constitution, was backed by Milosevic. Ahtisaari's plan was rejected by Belgrade, meanwhile, the Russian veto prompted it not to be approved by the UN Security Council”, it has said.

It has added, that the demarcation process with Serbia will not only be legal, but political, as according to it Serbia claims to take half of Kosovo through the Association of Serbian Communities, writes Indexline.

And recently, it should be expected that the Kosovo border demarcation process with Serbia will not be a purely legal but political process. While Montenegro, which has recognised Kosovo, claims to receive 800,000 acres from Kosovo, Serbia will pretend to take half of Kosovo. With that, I intend to condition that it is expected to make Kosovo and the EU with the Association of Serbian municipalities”, she has said.

By contrast, Prime Minister Haradinaj has met with speed from the State Commission, with which they have talked about drafting a state strategy for border demarcation throughout Kosovo.

“In the continuation of regular meetings with the State Commission for Marking and Maintaining the Border, we agreed to establish a joint political technical body and compile a state strategy for border demarcation throughout Kosovo. Co-operation with the State Commission will further deepen”, Haradinaj has said.

While ratification of the demarcation agreement with Montenegro lasted three years, the opposition's position did not take a similar stance on the issue.

But, on March 21st and that theme came to an end, where after four times the agreement signed between the two presidents, Thaci and Vujanovic were approved by 80 votes.

This agreement was welcomed by international actors, calling it a step towards free movement of citizens in the Schengen area.
