Prime Minister Edi Rama declared today at one of the television studios instead of the government winning the battle with cannabis, drawing Albania from the map of cannabis breeding sites.

We won the war against cannabis. We also won the battle to extract Albania from a map of countries that cultivate cannabis”, the prime minister said.

The head of the government stressed that in the first four years of the left government, cannabis was fought for the first time.

We have lived here and remember what happened, and we remember Lazarus well. Cannabis has never fought in Albania, and what I know in numbers is that only from Lazarati were trafficked 900 tonnes”, he said.

Following Lazarati's cleanup, Rama said there was a reaction to spreading parcels planted in other areas of Albania, which found the State Police unprepared because of the reform being made to this structure.

“After Lazarus had a reaction on the contrary, we went through a phase where we were not fully prepared to handle this reaction. The fight against the cultivation of narcotics is a war on the ground and on the ground there are forces operating and countering”, Rama said.

According to Rama, there was a moment when we were put in the dyfensies. But he said we reacted and cleared Albania of cannabis.

This says the facts documented by our international partners. In 2017 Albania cleaned up and no longer has the chance of Albania being planted with cannabis”, the head of government said.

Furthermore, the prime minister also spoke of the departure of citizens to developed EU countries, underlining that this phenomenon should not be seen as a tragedy because, according to him, this phenomenon is a historic trend and has passed all developing countries.

“in 2017 are 3905 removed, but we have 2503 citizens returned. In 2011 the number of Albanian citizens removed was over 55 190 displaced citizens”, Prime Minister Rama said.

Rama said there are significant democratic movements towards other countries, but it is far from the number of Albania's extinction. In fact, he added, if we refer to UROSTAT figures, we will see that we are dealing with a situation that does not absolutely speak of Albania's extinction.

Backing “s return by trades with another culture of knowledge and information they do not have here, and if we refer to the Harvard University study on the influence of returnees on transformation into agriculture it is significant how much immigration is worth to the country of origin”, Rama said.

But the prime minister noted that this phenomenon is not frequent with any instrument we have available.

Speaking of the departure of Albanian doctors to Germany, the prime minister said it is their right to decide where they will live. But he stressed, the government has undertaken two important initiatives to fill the gap created for medical experts in circles.

“The subject of experts is a very clear issue. We have inherited a serious situation for four years. The specializations were closed, thus not produced by medical experts creating a vacuum. With specialisation re-opening within 2019 the vacuum will be filled”, the prime minister said.

What we have done, the prime minister said, is that we have offered each medical specialist who agrees to go to circles equal wages he receives in Italy and Germany, except taxes.

Besides the doctor's salary, there are 2.5 million bonus in cash. This has made the system much easier in the first few months. Even with the containment system, we completely close the problem of expert doctors”, the executive head stressed.

Rama also stopped at the country's economic development. According to him, the Albanian economy grows fourfold in growth four years ago.

Remember we started with a little over 0%. Today we have economic growth of about 4%. An increase that will continue and our goal is to overcome 5%, which is a strong ambition”, the government head said.

Speaking of foreign investments, Rama said our ambition is much more than the fulfillment of the gap created by the completion of the TAP project.

“I believe we will achieve new foreign investment numbers that will exceed the figures reached even by TAP”, Rama said.

International reports for Albania were another issue discussed during the debate in the studio. According to Prime Minister Rama, Albania has made progress in all areas.

If we enter the relevant structure, Prime Minister Rama said the main reason we have a decline is without punitiveness and the system still not efficient justice.

As far as national security is concerned, the prime minister said Albania has no mafia. “There is organised crime, there are criminal networks, but there is no mafia”, he said.

We are from that country that held first place in terms of the murder rate, the prime minister added, and today we are on average from European countries for the murder rate.

On the other hand, he said, we have an unthinkable increase compared to 4 years ago in detection.

All the murders committed this year are discovered”, Rama stressed.

As for the high number of road accidents, Prime Minister Rama said the main cause is Albania's scandalous road projects, but also violation of the driving rules.

As long as we don't put roads in high security standards, we will face this undignified mirror”, Rama said.
