Kosovo's Assembly today from 11 o'clock will hold an extraordinary session at the only point on the day's “ParliamentaryDebat over the European Quality Safety Record's decision on Higher Education (EQAR) for the exclusion of the Kosovar Agency for Discension”.
The international organisation, European Quality Security for High Education (EQAR), has ruled out the Kosovo Agency of Accreditation from membership due to the dismissal of the board of this agency. Minister of Education, Science and Technology Shyqiri Bytyqi had decided on the dismissal of the Kosovo Agency for Accreditation Board (CSF State Quality Council) KSC), as well as the task manager of the agency's office.
The minister has taken this decision following the request of Prime Minister Haradinaj, who has also called for the immediate launch of procedures for selecting the new board and the AKA director. The European Quality Safety Record for Higher Education has made a decision to exclude AKA, arguing that it has lost its ability to act autonomously with the decision of dismissal by the minister on September 25, 2017
