In total, by the age of 0-39, there are 51 more men than females, with a report of 1,097. The highest report is the 25-34 age group, with 1.12. For this age group, according to INSTAT data, for 224 thousand males there are 199.8 thousand females.
From 40 years of age, females begin and dominate. For age groups from 40-59, the ratio is 0.95. Women live more than men, so for older men over 80, the ratio is 0.85, where there are 38 thousand women and 32 thousand men.
There are only two circuits, according to INSTAT, where the number of women exceeds to men, who are Tirana, Shkodra and Gjirokastra.
