For this age group, according to INSTAT data, for 224 thousand males there are 199.8 thousand females.

From 40 years of age, females begin and dominate. For age groups from 40-59, the ratio is 0.95. Women live more than men, so for older men over 80, the ratio is 0.85, where there are 38 thousand women and 32 thousand men.

There are only two circuits, according to INSTAT, where the number of women exceeds to men, who are Tirana, Shkodra and Gjirokastra. In the capital, the report is 0.98, with 10,000 females of absolute value less than men (436,917 males and 447,079 females).
