143 years ago, one of the sharpest Albanian minds, Faik Konica, Relindas, diplomat, editor, critic, polymist, who left a strong impression on the culture and modern history of Albanians.

Unfortunately today, at the time of popularising decontacted social networking quotations, Konica is often portrayed as an unregulated cynic, often even as a cosmopolitan snob, or as an anti-popular elite, tired of the Albanian national project.

But it wasn't. His long, uncomfortable, self - sacrificing activity indicates otherwise. So he wrote in his newspaper “Albia” in 1897 that: “the rebirth of our language is the rebirth of our national life”. The national sentiment then went on: “has strong roots in Albanian hearts; and although in any case the indiscretion and the meaning of Albanians almost discourages and discourages all their true friends, it must be acknowledged that the national feelings they do not lack, but they lack that embarrased consciousness, so necessary to progress”.

He has been a major critic of ignorance in politics, and he wrote: “Albanian hanjozonjo are terrible for atrocities and cadre”. Have we not faced such capadains yet today? However, he did not despise the culture of his people, but he worshipped it, wrote: “Albanians want first of all the light of the mind and sun”, or “The Albanian Gyjua is as muscular as fragile”.

He, who is now held as an idol to those who no longer put up with the country of his own country, wrote: the <x0th-and-Ah goods of Albania, the possession of the beloved homeland, holy commodity and sacred love, who is the Albanian person who has had...”. And he wrote about the flag: “Faluri sums up all the past memories of a nation in an unwritten language that can understand the eye and the heart of any human with feelings”.

However, Konica was not romantic: “Economic improvement is the fastest and most pressing need for our country”, he proclaimed from the newspaper “Albia”. And he insisted that: “A people who do not act unjustly, who are confident of charlatans, who insist on cleanliness in the numbers and for skillful evidence in officials, that people are well governed, whether with a king or with President”.

Journalists' serviles, praising the authorities, defaming critics, Konica called “laro of the feather” and saying that “There are some beings whose sense of humor does not have the strength to”. The invaders who tried to justify police brutality, he told “Jalat you like to be”. And for traitors it said that the “Albanian sons don't deal with the son of snake”.

And bad government officials warned of the necessity of a popular movement: “A popular movement is known where and when it starts, but it is unknown where and when it will end. In all of this, there remains a hope of comfort: The hope that the people are insisting on will finally win all; the comfort that the Sodomist guerrilla criminals will eventually receive the reward they deserve”.

Today, we remember Conica with great respect, which we certainly do most by reading and learning from her.
