An 11-month-old baby has been saved today with the help of Albania's Health Ministry Helicopter Unit. Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama himself has made this known by commenting on his Facebook account.

He has explained that the baby was rescued in the village of Basdren, Dajti, where the ambulance had been unable to reach as a result of the heavy snow.

Another 11-month-old child was rescued today by the team of national medical emergency doctors and the Helicopter Units in the village of Basdren, in serious health. Unable to reach ambulance due to the snow jam, the baby was transported by the Health Ministry Helicopter Unit near the University Hospital Centre “Mother Teresa” in Tirana, where it is currently under the care of doctors”. wrote Rama.
