More than five months have passed since he was attacked by metal rods by Director of Correcting Service Sokol Zogaj, but persons suspected of beating him continue to be on the run.
For this reason, Police and Prosecutorial non-efficiency, Zogaj feels endangered because he says the same people continue to be free.
Pristina's Constitutional Prosecutor says that against the person with the B.A initials, who was arrested in Germany as suspected of beating Zogaj, have launched extradition procedures.
They have no information whether the same has been released by German authorities.
“Against the person arrested in Germany, suspected of beating Sokol Zogaj, have launched extradition procedures. We have no official information if the same was released by the German authorities. The prosecution's investigation is already over. The other two persons, for whom there are arrest warrants, are on the run and the same have not yet been arrested”, said Imer Beka, chief prosecutor of the Constitutional Prosecutor in Pristina.
The judge, Hanef Jashar, has issued arrest warrants for three people suspected of beating Zogaj.
But Sokol Zogaj expresses himself dissatisfied with the work of the Police and Prosecutor, although he still hopes the case will receive epilogue.
Several days after Zogaj's beating, Kosovo police had raided the houses of suspects, but the same had failed to arrest.
In August last year, Kosovo Director of Correcting Service was beaten in front of his house with metal rods, causing head injuries, for which he had received medical treatment at KKUKU.
