Synthetic field stadium to be built in Gjakova

The Gjakova municipality's municipal framework at today's extraordinary session has overwhelmingly voted the municipality's president's decision, Ardian Gjini, for dividing the parcel for building the synthetic football field.

Before being put to the polls where there were discussions on the part of municipal advisers, President Ardian Gjini has confirmed that the only reason this meeting was called off as extraordinary was the fact that the proposal by the Kosovo Football Federation has come late and that in the short term, within two days, this decision should be sent to this institution.

In clarifying it before municipal advisers, President Djind has detailed the piece of the Czech parcel assigned to the construction of the football-synthetic field, according to FIFA and UEFA standards, which will be exploited by the Gjakova municipality football clubs competing in Kosovo's Superliga.

Also chairman Ginni has indicated that the investment for this project is the joint one to be made on the basis of the memorandum of co-operation between three institutions, such as the Kosovo Football Federation, which will invest 120 thousand euros, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, which will invest the amount of 100,000 euros, as well as the municipality of Gjakova, which for this dedication will allocate 30,000 euros.

This part of the parcel of this cadastral area has a total area of 81132.0 square metres and a decision by the Gjakova municipality Assembly of 2014 has been declared a public interest zone, while part of it has been assigned to the construction of tennis grounds. Today's decision adds to the synthetic football complex, which will affect the increase in professional activities in this part of the city
