Serbian media today have reported that former US general and former deputy chief UNMIK) in Kosovo, Steven Schook, is directly linked to liquidating the witness in the trial of Ramush Haradinaj in The Hague.

Serbian media have put this hypothesis on, refuting the author's book Martin Harper, Diplomacy Machine.

US subx0-general Steven School, now one of the most listed people here in Unmik, has a bigger criminal record and is closely linked to the Kosovo elite Harper reported the data he had come to. Serbian telegram also emphasises that Harper wrote in the book that Haradinaj's <x1-second war partner” was one of the KLA leaders, Fatmir Limaj, later Transport Minister to the Pristina government. The chief witness of the prosecution, a former searcher of the camp, has detailed the crimes, but is located in Duisburg, where he was hiding under the witness protection programme, found dead in a park near Lake Esenberget, after which there was no longer any statements that could be used, and the court suspended the proceedings against Limaj,” writes Harper, as Serbian media broadcast in the morning.

But who's Steven Schook?

In April 2006, then UN Secretary General Kofi Annan had appointed UN Special Envoy Steven Schook for mission to Kosovo. So, in 2006, Schook took over the post of UNMIK deputyhef in Kosovo.

But it had not been a year since Schook was in trouble in Kosovo.

At that time, the deputy head of UNMIK was much co-operating with AAK chief Ramush Haradinaj, who was also former prime minister and Minister of Energy and Mines Et '%em Ceku.

But former number two. UNMIK in Kosovo was the target of an investigation by the Office for Internal Supervisory under the United Nations for investigating accusations involving personal behaviour towards him.

Schook was also accused by opposition parties, mainly LVV because of the February 10, 2007 protest, which was criticised by Vetevendosje, as a HINAThe person who acts as a Kosovo friend but who is not.

How did Scook respond to these accusations?

“For my determination to do things, for friends and enemies, and for low tolerance for what it can prevent Kosovo from the path towards best”, Schook has said, citing here also the respect he has for Ramush Haradinaj's work as prime minister, for his exemplary co-operation with The Hague Tribunal and the support that Schok has given Martti Ahtisaari's proposal for independence.

A report wrote about Steven Schook that he had used his power to evolve in the privatisation process in Kosovo.

After a few years, Schook had also worked as adviser to AAKA leader Ramush Haradinaj.

In a show in Klan Kosova, he claimed he did not see any stronger leaders to lead Kosovo than Ramush Haradinaj”

I don't see any stronger leaders. A person who has stepped on the ground and has a personal energy source to face serious problems. Ramush survived The Hague Tribunal, and that was not easy. The reason he survived is that he was not guilty”, Schook declared in Klan Kosova.

Otherwise, Serbian media reports linking the name of Schook and Haradinaj for witness killings, The Kosovo government has responded this way:

The Kosovo government is not reading the Serbian press in recent months. I do not comment in any scripture. Otherwise I TY any charges of such a level have been investigated in depth and has always dismissed such charges”, the government's response reported. /Periscopi/
