Three sessions to Azem Syla are expected during this week

The last session to be held regarding this case on February 13th was postponed for health reasons for accused Azem Syla.

In this case Azem Syla and 21 other people are accused of organised crime in connection with the removal of social-owned lands in Veternik and Llapsela, near Pristina.

Special Prosecution on October 25, 2016, filed two charges against 39 different people, including the former delegation of PDK, Azem Syla.

First Act, submitted by an international prosecutor The PSRK, has been brought up against 22 defendants and consists of 46 points.

The defendants are charged with organised criminal acts, money laundering, bribery, heavy fraud, duty fraud, legal decision enforcement, misuse of office, legalisation of forged content and tax evasion.

The second indictment established by the same prosecutor charges 17 people with money laundering.

According to the indictment, members of this organised criminal group have co-operated, each with a specific role, to deprive Kosovo of social property through criminal activities, including forging decisions and other official documents, fraud and corrupt actions.

The Court of Appeals has confirmed the indictment against the group charged in case “Toka”.

In December 2016, Azem Syla and all other accused had been declared innocent. Since then, the judgment has not yet been able to pass the opening word of the main examination.
