The pilot told air traffic control operators there was a technical malfunction. The Saratov Airlines plane reportedly was planning to make an emergency landing at an airport in the town of Zhukovsky, writes RT, broadcast Periscopi.
Russia's Investigative Committee has launched an investigation into the crash; the plane carried 65 passengers and six crew members. All investigation lines are still open, according to authorities.
The Antonov An 48 was off the radar hours earlier. His remains were found in a village not far from Moscow. Rescue teams are working on the scene and they have already taken two bodies, a black box and body parts from the crash site, Periscope reports.
The An-48 plane was produced about eight years ago. He had first operated from Rossiya Airlines, including international roads, and was later rented by Saratov Airlines. /Periscopi/
