EULEX prosecutor Andrew Hoods, who has been attending for several years already sentenced by the first degree drug trafficking court, Naser Kelmendi, in his interview on Kosovo's “programme, ” has talked about Naser Kelmendi's million estate.
In his statements, prosecutor Hudges has said that only in Pec, Naser Kelmendi has houses worth about 2m euros.
But, according to him, Kelmendi also has some property and businesses in Montenegro and Slovenia.
He has found an estimate of his three houses in Pec at the value of over 2m euros, which is not even close to what he actually has. We've asked him what his net wealth is, and his answer was “I don't have the idea” We know he owns the Casa Grande Hotel in Sarajevo, owns another hotel in Montenegro. He owns a lot of property”, the prosecutor said. EULEX.
According to him, Naser Kelmendi had a car worth 200 thousand euros and many other properties in million value.
But Hudges said they couldn't seize their property except for those who can prove they were funded by drug trafficking.
This is what they do with drug money, hide it in property. They cannot enter a bank because any banking transaction exceeding the amount of 10,000 euros must be declared. So these people spend much of their lives wondering where to hide money. So, yeah, he owns a lot of property, and so do cars. I'm trying to remember, he had a very expensive sports car worth about 200 grand. His guys have cars, he says he buys and sells cars, but he has a lot of properties. We have no chance at this point to seize these properties. The general regulation is that only properties that can be proven to be linked to drug trafficking can be confiscated”, prosecutor Hudges has stated.
