Pope Benedict XVI, who will celebrate in April 91st, writes in a letter to readers of “Crrier della Sera” that he is preparing for his latest trip.
Joseph Ratzinger responding to many readers' concern about his health writes:
With the slow loss of my physical and internal strength I have launched the pilgrimage to God's House. ”
Since his resignation in February 2013, the German-born Pope lives in a small monastery at the Vatican, along with four sisters and his personal secretary Georg Gänswein. He has been declaring for at least two years that Benedict XVI was disappearing like a candle, slowly and calmly. ”
The former Pope attends Mass every day, prays a lot, meets few visitors and answers a considerable number of correspondence. He also listens to television news in the evening and reads some daily Catholic media as well as theological publications.
