Kosovo's Parents' Council has reacted after SBASK's appeal to parents and students for an hour-long strike due tomorrow
Through a media report, the Parents' Council has thanked the teachers for their sacrifice and contributions to education, but have declared that the strike is not the form of solving their problems.
They have appealed to the Government and the August 19th to take necessary measures and to fulfill their commitment to teachers.
Addressing SBASKU from the Parents' Council has called for no strikes to be held, because that's how students will suffer.
By contrast, today through an SBASKCH communiqué has called on students to miss school on Wednesday at the first hour.
The report reportedly made that decision, since, according to them, the Government of Kosovo did not keep its word in relation to education workers.
This is the Council of Parents announcement:
The SBASK appeal to Kosovo's parents and students for the strike an hour earlier for tomorrow has disturbed the Kosovo Parents' Council, parents and Kosovo students.
The Council of Parents of Kosovo is informed of legitimate requirements and agreements reached with Kosovo Government bodies that have not yet been realised.
We are aware of the situation of teachers and their high sacrifice in the nine years for keeping Kosovo's education alive and we are grateful to all those who have been acting out these difficult years of Albanian education in Kosovo, and the requirements of the SBASK are legitimate and right, but it is not right, but on the other hand, we reject the strike as the form of choosing problems that the teachers have.
Through this press release, we appeal to the Government of Kosovo, the Education and Technology Union to take necessary measures and fulfill their obligation to teachers.
At the same time, we appeal to the SBASK and all teachers to be cautious and cautious and to try to prolong this warned strike so that barriers and confusion will not be made to parents and students and not to suffer those who are at least guilty in this process, which side Kosovo students.
