But the outcome of the match was overshadowed by the incident where Aguero appears to be punching a fan who was one of the many fans of the Wigan Athletic who invaded the playing field after the last whistle.
The FA, after discussing with both clubs about the incident after the match, has informed City that Aguero will not be punished for the incident.
In addition to this incident between Aguero and the fan, there were other incidents after the match, with Wigan fans who threw stuff into the police.
