The deal has been reached for 40m euros and Arthur will join the club in 2019.
After reaching agreement with the player, Gramio has also given the go-ahead for the transfer.
Of 40m euros, 60 per cent will go to the Brazilian club's vaults, which means that Gremio will benefit 24m euros.
Some will go to businessman Celso Rigo, who has 20 percent of the player's card rights.
Only formalisation of the agreement has now remained when medical visits are carried out.
Barcelona must wait until January to have Arthur's services.
