During the debate, however, criticism was given for not companies of environmental pollution measures in Kosovo. According to MPs, beds and rivers continue to be in poor condition, as air continues to be alarming to citizens' health, and each year they are discussing the same problem.

Vetevendosje MP Sami Kurteshi has called only a part of the air and environmental pollution in Pristina, which they discussed last week, in relation to the situation located throughout Kosovo.

According to Kurtesh, Kosovo has an environmental protection law, especially air pollution from 2010, until it is only in 2018 that they are discussing an alarming and dangerous state of human health.

If this nation doesn't take any step of checking and taking measures to implement these laws and to control the responsible state institutions, in these laws we have some important measures, then we will only vote for reports, they will certainly pass, because in the moment we have interests for and against. But I fear that next year we will discuss again in this period of time when even weather conditions are such as enable a concentration of air pollution in Pristina, and I fear we will find that the loud noise in the Assembly, the hot and emotional discussion sometimes because we are political institutions has not had any value because the proposed measures have not been implemented”, Kurteshi said.

MP Andy Hoti from the PDK said this report represents the real situation in Kosovo, as they witness what is happening to the environment in Kosovo with the degradation of rivers and agricultural land.

“As we have been taught to catch everything unexpectedly and then to think of it, and as a result, our vitality for life has also been disabled, so our air has also been difficult, which has been current these days in Kosovo. We are witnessing many epidemics in Kosovo, and we daily face news such as the annual increase in cancer cases in Kosovo”, Hoti stressed.

While Kosovo Initiative MP Enver Hoti said the state of the environment in Kosovo is serious because of the human factor.

“What is happening with environmental degradation, has addresses, you know, there are operators that don't give responsibility and give no measure the respective institutions take. I'm going to split this way, the degradation that's happening in the environment, and as a result, we have serious consequences for both the health and the economy and all areas of damage are large and long-term, both in the phase of planning and in the implementation of plans that are realised by the respective institutions. Projects are not done properly or are made to avoid applying”, Hoti said.

MP from the 6+ parliamentary group, Danush Ademi, has asked the institutions to deal with communities in Kosovo who daily go through containers and run behind trucks that send clowns into warehouses to secure their mouths. He's asked if the air is dirty for them too.

There's a lot of them going through our container the day, and it's not talked about whether it's even a matter of blowing air while ours are running through containers day and running behind trucks where they're thrown into the warehouse to ensure a existence for communities, whether it's a matter of air or if it's polluted for those people. I think institutions should think of that category as well, don't leave them like that, because the lives of citizens should be equal, not for someone more positive, for someone with a little negative”, Ademi said.

MPs also came under fire for delaying the review of this report. MP Jelal Sveqla has challenged the benefits of the environmental debate, as it is discussing the 2016 report in the middle of February 2018.

He feels that the situation has changed for the worse since 2016, so he needs additional commitments.

However, chairman Xhavit Haliti said those who do not participate in the session would be penalised.

You've stopped to go out and nobody dares. S'ka's a working group, no working group will work. We have a hearing on Tuesday at 10:00, and we're on to 12:00. The commission won't go, the commission if it goes there's no law enforcement and it'll be fined by hire. We have a session we don't care about anything else, it's our business“, he said.

The session's continuation will be at 10:00 on Tuesday, to discuss the point 12, 10th and 9th of the day and the 14th poll after there was no quorum for the vote.
