Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Communities and Kthim Dalibor Yevtic is continuing his visit to the US during which he has said the formation of the Serbian Communist Association is crucial for continuing dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia. He has called this dialogue very important there he has talked to the US assistant secretary [...]
There he spoke to US Assistant Secretary of State Matthew Palmer for the current situation in Kosovo, as well as for the position of Serbs and non-Albanians, while Palmer, as Yevtiqi's cabinet announces, has shown understanding and support for all processes that help stability, Coha.net broadcasts.
Palmer has stressed that he particularly understands the position of Serbs in Kosovo, praising that he expects more commitment to solve problems and that he, at the same time, has expressed US readiness to continue supporting stability and co-operation in the Western Balkans region, especially when it comes to Serbian-Albanian relations, says the statement that Belgrade media conveys.
According to the statement, Jevtic co-operationr has reported it with problems, but also with possible resolution of several issues, and in particular has cited the issue of usurped property and the return of displaced Serbs to Kosovo.
There are many challenges waiting for us this year. We have the chance that some of the problems to solve so that the entire Western Balkans can move forward and become part of the EU. US support for stability and lasting peace in Kosovo is of exceptional importance. Oliver Ivanov's murder requires answers to the question of who and why did it”.
