Deda, in an interview for Periscope, said the first ten anniversary of independence has not been used for economic development and construction of the functional state.
This ten-year anniversary is a decade of missed opportunities for Kosovo. We have not used the great support of the West immediately after declaring independence, economic development and the construction of functional state with functional institutions”, Deda said.
He said that between 2008-2010 there has been enormous interest in large Western companies to invest in Kosovo, which, according to him, would generate about 400,000 jobs.
“We haven't taken advantage of foreign policy, at the time, to reinforce our citizenship as much as it should. We did not have our role in the region project, and we have remained in most of this ten year-long dealing with dialogue with Serbia, losing even the possibilities we have for visa liberalisation”, Deda said.
Deda praised Kosovo on this 10th anniversary has mostly taken on itself and the weak governments it has produced itself.
According to him, the only initiatives that have taken Kosovo's face “are in art, culture and sports. /Periscopi/
