The government attracted the money for investment in the memorial complex HINA Jasharı, the tower is in danger of collapse

Last October 18th of last year, the Memorial Management Agency (AMKM) had opened a tender for the amount of damage caused by the wind and floods at the Memorial Complex “Adem Jashari”.

Through this tender, it was meant to invest thousands of euros in the home of former KLA commander Adem Jashar, who is at risk of collapse as a lack of state investment.

But the AMM tender was canceled. The money the government of Kosovo had promised for the damage sanctions at the Meteorological Complex “Adem Jashari” had withdrawn just a month later, Insander reported.

On November 24th, the Government reduced the means it had set aside for this procurement activity, which prompted officials of the Memorial Management Agency to annul the tender for “the use of wind damage and flow to K. M I'm Adam Jashari.

On Notification The Public Procurement Commission (KRPP), in regard to this cancelled tender, reportedly the reason for the annulment of this procurement activity has been the request of the Kosovo Government, which is led by Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj.

“This procurement activity is cancelled on the basis of the letter from the Director and ZKA since this AP [Procure objective, v.e.] we had the first tools, but the Government of Kosovo's request has been to reduce the commands”, said the announcement of the tender abort published in the CRPP.

The contracting authority of the Agency for the Protection of Memorial Confusions has said the Finance Ministry attracted the planned money for investment in the Adem Jashar Tower.

Government is petitioned for saving the “Adem Jashar” complex

Three days ago three thousand signatures of Kosovo citizens have been collected to save and preserve the Jashari family complex in Prekaz.

The initiative of this petition, civil society member Jusuf Thaci, has stated that signatures collected by petition have been addressed to three institutions, which he holds responsible for the difficult situation in which the complex “Adem Jashari” is located.

As a citizen of Kosovo and in the name of all citizens who share this concern, I have today addressed the request, through mail and through email to three institutions that have the responsibility and the competence to address and solve this problem: 1. Government of the Republic of Kosovo, 2. The Kosovo Memorial Confusion Management Agency, and 3. The Parliamentary Commission for Agriculture, Forestry, Rural Development, Environment and Spatial Planning of the Republic of Kosovo” has written Thaci.

The petition calls on Kosovo institutions to seriously address this civic demand and urgently undertake all measures for the rescue and preservation of the Jashar family complex.
