A 44-year-old from Korca with “down” and affected by some chronic diseases has lost their lives two weeks ago by the flu at the Corca Hospital intensiveization, but the event was confirmed only on Monday.
Death has been recorded in the weekly bulletins of the Public Health Institute, but the health dictatorship has not announced it.
“Vancing for many years from diabetes and other internal diseases. So it's in the contingent of the group of risk people who are strongly stressed that they should be vaccinated. The flu should not be underestimated, and the vaccine prevents death and prevents heavy forms”, says Artan Simaku, of the ISHP Department of Infectious Diseases.
Albania is ranked among the countries with the highest intensity of affected by flu vissur in this period. According to I experts We're already on the scene, where 23,000 affected respiratory infections were reported last week.
“We have reached the point and predict that in the following week a trend will begin. The flu is one of the most unpredictable diseases. So far no serious cases have been observed. Sporadic cases that are normal for the season, but not with the same severity as last year's”, Simaku adds.
But, in parallel with the flu epidemic in Albania, the measles virus is also flowing. The number of children has gone to 67, but officially this is not considered an epidemic.
“Risk exists, but the measures are taken. Day-to-day monitoring of day-to-day nurserys, gardens and schools is under way. I note that with a temperature display, the child should not be taken to a nursery, garden, or school but should be taken to a family doctor who values the situation and gives the appropriate recommendations”, says Artan Simaku.
A week ago an eight-month-old pneumonia baby lost her life due to complications, while many children who have not ageed for vaccines frequent nests.
ISHP experts stress that the measles situation is already under control and small babies under 1 are not vaccinated because they enjoy immunity from their mother.
