The family tells if it is available for the exhumation of Astri Dehar if asked

In December 2016, the Assembly adopted a resolution under which the Astrit Dehar family could seek expertise from any EU or US country and the government would remove all expenses.

At the request of the Dehari family the expert was entrusted to the University Law Medicine Centre in French Switzerland, while for this expertise the Government of Kosovo allocated 50,000 euros.

The damaged family representative, lawyer Tome Gashi, said the first results are expected to come up soon regarding the investigation into Dehar's death by the Swiss centre.

Gashi said that in spite of the pain, if the University Law Medicine Centre in French Switzerland demands the exhumation of Astrit Dehar, the family will accept such a requirement for the dawning of the truth.

Astrit Dehar's “Family expects international investigations, not only the sending of documentation from the Constitutional Prosecutor to Prizren, and that they then had to come up with a report on their findings. Astrit Dehar's family has publicly acknowledged that if they also seek the eventual implementation of the Astrit Dehar body, they will allow it, or release his body after burial for eventual examinations, but all of this if this institution considers it necessary”, Gashi said.

Lawyer Gashi said that regardless of the Swiss institution's results, Dehar's family will accept it, legally speaking.

For Dehar's death, lawyer Gashi said he was responsible for taking care of his life behind bars.

“I believe that the institutions that have been responsible for preserving his life, there I don't know the names of who those people are, but in the framework of institutions it's easy to find those who have been responsible for preserving his life, since he was at the Institute of the Republic of Kosovo, at the Paradition Centre in Prizren, where his life would have to be safe and guaranteed and not to enter a 26-year-old, healthy boy, and well at the Paraburg Centre in Prizren and who left for death in Prizren or at the coffin, Gashi said.

The lawyer also said what would happen if the Swiss institution that will carry out expertise produces the same results as Kosovo institutions for Dehar's death

“I believe that there should be no responsibility and there is neither the Law Medicine Institute, the people who have performed the option, nor the independent experts, but can be considered a super-expertosis which, in a judicial sense, will close the Dehari” case, Gashi said.
